Museum – Dinosphere – Coll de Nargó
The Dinosfera Museum in Coll de Nargó is a paleontological interpretation center located in the town of Coll de Nargó, in the Pallars Jussà region, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. The museum is located within the Isona and Conca Dellà Paleontological Park, an area that has become one of the most important paleontological sites in Europe. The Paleontological Park extends across different municipalities in the Pallars Jussà region and houses a large number of fossil remains of dinosaurs and other prehistoric reptiles. The Dinosfera Museum in Coll de Nargó consists of several exhibition rooms where you can see up close the most outstanding finds in the area, such as the remains of the dinosaur Iguanodon bernissartensis, which was discovered in the Bernissart coal mine, in Belgium, and which is represented in the museum through a life-size reproduction. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum offers educational activities and workshops aimed at audiences of all ages, in order to bring paleontology closer in an entertaining and educational way. Guided tours are also organized to the paleontological sites in the area, where visitors can observe the fossil remains in situ and learn about the excavation and conservation processes. In summary, the Dinosfera Museum in Coll de Nargó is a reference center for the study and dissemination of paleontology in the Pallars Jussà region, offering an enriching experience for all those interested in the history of life on Earth and in particularly in the age of the dinosaurs.
